We Resolve to…Eat Better Snacks
I have an obsession. It’s the oat bar at Starbucks. (Dear Oat Bar, I love you with my latte and hate it when Scarlett makes me share you!) I haven’t gotten the balls nerve to go online and check the nutritional information for the snack on the company’s website. However, I’m pretty sure it’s a stick of sugar and butter. If you’re associated with Starbuck and know how this heavenly thing is made, please don’t tell me. I just float on the hope that since it has oats in it then it must be good for me in some twisted Seattle-based, coffee chain parallel universe. Besides, my soy latte would be so lonely without it. What I really need to do is give up the bar and take our own advice–choose more healthy snacks.Yes, you heard it here first. Ceri and I are not always the picture of nutritional brilliance. I guess I should just speak for myself. I don’t live with Ceri and for all I know she is perfect. She probably makes everything from scratch, even pasta. God, I hate her. I mean, love you Cer. Muah.
Grape Salsa is a snack so delicious and refreshing serve it with chips, baked of course.
Edamame Dip gives the kids some greens.
Wholegrain Blueberry Muffins a healthy twist on a coffee house special.
Blueberry Spelt Oat Bars are nutritious, crumbly and yummy.
Granola Balls are healthy and delicous. Take that store-bought granola bars!
