Sponsored Post: Fabulous Holiday Gifts from Indigo

This is it people, the busiest shopping weekend of the year. As a Canadian I can’t quite get my head around the crazy Black Friday shopping that goes on south of the border but if Laura is braving that madness while visiting with her folks I hope she lands some amazing deals (also I hope she remembers that my feet are a size 6.5). I’m more of a cyber Monday girl, myself. Did you know that the Monday after Black Friday is the biggest day of the year for online shopping. And I’m sure parents are driving that trend. You put the kids to bed, pour yourself a glass of wine and get that project done! I’m hoping to the bulk of my Christmas shopping online this year

Just like in a bricks and mortar store, online shops are not all created equal. You want to shop on a site that’s well designed, easy to navigate, offers lots of service and has the products you’ll feel great about sharing over the holidays. Go to Indigo and it’s check, check, check. Of course there are (literally) millions of books to be found but what’s really fun is checking out the range of other products at Indigo now. And I love that shipping is free within Canada if you spend $25. There are so many great deals happening this weekend – don’t miss out. And now, here are a few of my favourite things….

For the entertainer on your list: I’m in love these champagne flutes. They’re so pretty but modern and cool. A set of 4 for $32.50

For your import-loving guy: Wouldn’t he love to open his Becks with this? $14.50

For the home body: Can’t you just picture the Sunday morning that starts with this little scene. Red teapot, $24.50, Egg cups, $5.50 each, Egg Cozies, set of 3 for $19.50

For the hostess: Just don’t expect her to put them out tonight. She’ll be saving these for when you’re all gone! Ooh la la Salted Caramels, $20.00

For the foodie: A perfect finishing salt, this fleur de sel comes in a chic container any home cook will be happy to leave on the counter. La Belle Excuse, $14.00

For a family: When you need something for a whole crew, it’s best to go consumable. And what’s better than a pancake breakfast that’s all ready to go?  Beaver Tails Pancake Mix Gift Set, $28.00

For newlyweds: Help them start their cook book collection with this fabulous French classic, I Know How to Cook. Because maybe they don’t yet. $36.30

For the tree: A new ornament each year is such a nice way to mark the beginning of the holidays. We love this serious fellow. Owl ornament, $12.50

For baby: Baby’s first Christmas is all about the pictures (since they’re really only interested in the crinkly wrapping paper). We love this cute Rabbit frame that a perfect Christmas morning snap can live in forever. $19.50

For little kids: Pengaloo is a great memory game that’s quick to play (15 minutes, max) but what we really love is the concerned look on the penguins’ faces. $29.95

For bigger kids: It’s hard to think of a toy that delivers more hours of fun that Lego. This fab Harry Potter Lego set would be great for boys or girls (or parents want to get in on the action, too!). And I love the price! $39.95
