Sweet Stuff: Nesting Eggs For Easter

Sweet Stuff: Nesting Eggs For Easter

I know, I know, I’m getting ahead of myself with this but once in awhile I get the novel idea of preparing for holidays – get this – in advance. I mean, running around the day before and staying up late baking God-knows-what little themed treat is certainly so much fun that I wouldn’t want to entirely give it up… But then I spied these cute little Peter Rabbit nesting eggs and couldn’t resist. Perfect for hiding chocolate eggs on Easter morning, I love that these aren’t disposable. I say this as the mother who, under cover of darkness, just tossed out dozens of painstakingly (and some less than painstakingly) crafted valentines. It’s not the end of the world, but I do hate the way some holidays just mean a bunch of junk around the house that we’ve then got to figure out a way to be rid of. And once you have kids, every single holiday must be celebrated. Please don’t tell my kids about Flag Day or, God help me, Guy Fawkes Day. Shudder. Okay, back to bunnies. These eggs are made of sturdy card stock, fit neatly into each other so they can be put away. But probably they’ll become little bed for the tiny fairies and mermaids that populate Esme’s top bunk. $18.05 at Pottery Barn Kids.
