It’s Really Big News. BIG!
Ok, friends. We’re going to play a game. It’s something like 20 questions. You’ll ask. I’ll answer. And you’ll see if you can guess SPC’s crazy, super big news. Ready. Go.
YOU: Why are we playing this game?
ME: Ok. Stop being smart. Ask a real question.
YOU: What kind of real question?
ME: About our big news.
YOU: What’s your big news?
Alright already. I’ll just spill the beans on behalf of Ceri, the kids and I. We are working on our first Sweet Potato Chronicles cookbook. The next SPC baby will debut in Fall 2013 and will be published by the talented (and clearly smart people) at Random House’s lifestyle imprint known as Appetite. Obviously, we have you–our loyal readers–to thank for this truly unbelievable opportunity. Like the site, our book (I can’t believe I just said “our book”) will be devoted to offering healthy, convenient recipes (like the one for our strawberry, cheese and mint breakfast quesadille shot below) that satisfy every diner in your family. In addition, we’ll also bring you the nutritional information we, as mothers, love reading. We’ll wrap it all up with pretty images and great ideas for solving the weekday meal plan grind and viola, hopefully, you’ll love it.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the process and, as always, we’ll share all the news that’s fit to print on this exciting project. Also, we’d love to hear your thoughts on what kinds of recipes you’d like to see in the book as well as feedback on what your challenges are when it comes to delivering healthy meals to your family. We can’t do it without you so please share your ideas, thoughts and comments. We can’t wait to hear what you have to say.
