Roundup: School Snacks!
Hopefully everyone is starting to feel a little bit better (and more confident) about getting back into the routine of packing lunches. How are things going? Did anyone give any SPC recipes a try? Let us know how they went over! Last week, I talked about back to school lunch ideas, and guess what? Today, I’m still talking about lunches, but instead of the main meal we’re talking snack ideas. As a kid, I always found that the snacks were my favourite part of recess and lunch. Here are five healthy snacks for kids.
Granola bars are always a favourite snack, but the ones you can buy at the store are loaded with sugar and other not so healthy ingredients. Why not try making them yourself with these Nuts and Seeds Granola Bars.
I love bringing dips as a snack, this White Bean Dip is delicious and packed with protein. Plus it’s kid friendly but also great for adults.
Almond Butter Banana Breakfast Cookies make a wonderful breakfast, but they are also an equally good snack that despite being a cookie, are still nice and healthy.
Lastly, this Edamame Dip makes another great dip for a packed lunch A batch of this dip would make a great snack for both adults and kids – it’s all about hitting two birds with one stone!
