Mother’s Day Brunch Ideas
A friend recently wrote in an Instagram post (of all places) that “Life doesn’t come with a manual, it comes with a mother.” It was a pretty powerful sentence and, when I read it, I instantly got emotional. I started thinking about all the ways I’m needed and will be needed for my daughter. I also realized that all the things I do now day-to-day for my daughter (dutch braider, friendship coach, homework helper, activity wrangler and task master) are only scratching the surface of what she’ll need me for during her life. Ever since I read that caption, I haven’t stopped thinking about it. So with no manual and only a mother to get you through this journey, you’re going to need to keep the lady somewhat happy and fuelled. You might also want to put your clothes in the hamper, find your hairbrush yourself, yell for anyone with a heartbeat other than “mom!” and collect your siblings and get out of the house for an hour. Those last few ideas are only just suggestions; the food and alone time are imperative.
