Fast and Fruity Easter Desserts
Growing up, we spent most holidays at my Grandmother’s house, and Easter was no exception: The main event was always Sunday’s dinner. But the desserts — How did one woman prepare so many squares, cookies and bars all by herself?! Starting on Good Friday, my cousins and I would drool every time someone would open the door that led down to the cellar because we would catch a glimpse of all of tins that lined the steps all the way down… we knew they were filled delicious, decadent, homemade treats and despite the Easter Bunny’s contribution, nothing compared to those goodies! These recipes take me back to my childhood. (Not to mention, they are quick and easy to make.)
